Drum roll please... So I am going out of some peoples comfort zone this quarter, but I am hoping you may still participate. I thought I would try some diverse reading to help broaden my horizons. It is YA so should be a quick read if you don't enjoy it - win/win?? Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda - Becky AlbertalliSixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.www.amazon.co.uk/Simon-vs-Homo-Sapiens-Agenda/dp/014135609X/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1519845793&sr=8-4&keywords=becky+albertalli&dpID=51S6QHgEDdL&preST=_SY291_BO1,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch I've checked and my local library has it, so hopefully yours does too if you would rather not buy it Once April is upon us, I shall open the discussion thread. Happy reading everyone x

I wouldn't say this will be out of my comfort zone, just YA is not at all on my radar and a book (on first inspection) that I would never choose to read .. However, I am open minded and more than willing to try something different .. I have reserved a copy at my Library and will reserve judgement ..

Ooh, this one is really up my street and one that I was planning to read anyway. Based on a recommendation... from Mrs Mac possibly? Don't go to the library much anymore though, since I moved and it's a bit out of the way of home-work-shops-favourite hangout spots so I shall scout around for a used copy to buy then pass on after reading.

Ahha, I realised where I got the "recommendation" from - I was browsing your wishlist on GR

Yes, the film is coming out in this country on 6th April, so those library books may start to have queues!
Our library has copies with both titles, "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" and "Love, Simon" and I've put myself in the queue for both. Of course I will cancel one when the other comes in!

I will have this in paperback v. shortly. If you have a job getting it from the library, or finding a copy, please let me know and I can swap or post on when read.

Thanks very much x Well it wasn't me because I have been ensconsed on the sofa watching Paddington2 as my birthday treat, so a little fairy must have dealt with it because there it is just above you!! Ooh I've heard Paddington2 is fab. What I meant was, could you move it from above me into the other thread that I just started?

Paddington2 was lovely.... and if you buy/hire/download or whatever it is that you do, please, please, please stay until the credits because there is a lovely couple of minutes at the end, specially for grownups!
