I'm happy to organise the book circle for next year again.
If you'd like to join in and haven't done this before, read on. If you have, just skip through and remind yourself...
1. Choose a book you think might appeal across the board/or maybe one to take other circlers out of their comfort zone/or even your favourite read - up to you. Please no books from a series.
2. 300 pages or under is good, mainly because we all have too many books to read and no-one needs to be under pressure. Stick to second class, large letter postage, where possible.
3. Check the list of all the previous circle books to see if your book has been sent before. If it has, don't worry too much, the older the circle, the less chance 2022 circlers will have read it. PM me with the details of the book you would like to send, so that I can check around, see who is sending what, which members are in the circle etc. Don't worry, I will let you know promptly if it's OK or not, in case you need to choose another.
4. Please PM me your full name and address, your email address and the name of the book before January, in case we have latecomers.
5. You will then receive by PM the name and address of the circler who you will send to each month. Each month you will also receive a book and when read, just post it on at the beginning of the next month.
6. Please insert a card large enough to contain comments on the book, and you'll get that back with your book at the end.
7. Your first book should be posted (and you should receive one) within the first week of February and thereafter the first week of each month till the end - please try and keep to this timetable, and let me know if you cannot. Also - PM me each month to say "book has arrived".
8. Please stick to sending just one book on a month. If you end up with two, send the relevant one on for the next month, otherwise it gets confusing!
That's it then. Just one book to choose, and every month, one to post. The length of the circle depends on the number of members who join.
