Bought at work Slow Horses by Mick Herron - I've been looking out for this since my sister-in-law recommended the series to me at Christmas. It's about ex-spies who've been sidelined out to an office in Slough.
Also in the last few days Portnoy's Complaint by Philip Roth for my "1001 books to read" stash.

Kindle book Brûlant Secret (The Burning Secret) by Stefan Zweig. Because it's set in Austria and fits the challenge.

I collected The Chestnut Man by Søren Sveistrup this morning. Should have checked its size before reserving it. Enormous baby weighing in at 670 pages (large paperback). I'm really put off now.

It was deathly quiet at work today because of the wind and rain, and I was stuck on the till for 4.5 hours and the books I needed to price only took up one hour. One of them was Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi, the first copy I've seen in the shop, so guess what I did ...got half way through it and then of course it had to come home with me I'm not sure about it - so far I'm finding the different stories rather dull - but I still have to finish it...

The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall. I fell in love with the fantastic French title (Et dormir dans l'oubli comme un requin dans l'onde - Sleeping in Oblivion Like a Shark in Waves). Had to have this one now! So I bought its Kindle original version. Has been liked by a few risiers when it was published. Fantasy, scifi, logic mysteries, the lot. High expectations? Yes. Another discovery through French booksites.
