Gentlemen and Players (Joanne Harris) - that isn't a gothic novel?!!!!!
I have read 23, and may have a couple on my TBR but this is a very odd list for me because in my opinion there are a lot of non-gothics on there, and there are some missing! But again, Aileen, great to have another list to peruse! Thank you.

I got 42, mainly because 3 of my favourite authors have several books on the list (Mary Stewart, Daphne du Maurier and Agatha Christie)

The ones I've read are all definitely in the gothic mould!

29 for me. My first thought was that I don't really do gothic but clearly I've done more than I thought though I do agree that the definition of gothic is perhaps a bit wide!

I've always loved gothic books, weird ones. I'll have to go back to this list as a lot on here are ones I've heard of but haven't got around to reading/on tbr. I've been on a few lists on this website but I never usually tick so many on the first page! I have read The Witching Hour or rather gave up and have Affinity on my shelf I bought back in April, The Ghost Writer was recommended to me and The Woman in White (my mother just finished reading it took her a while) I wouldn't call Study in Scarlet gothic! I could not get into The Mysteries of Udolphyo! I've read a few Susan Hill but went off her books as they always the same: englishman/gent finds himself seeing a ghost. Good writing etc and worth a read but I'm tried of the same at the moment. I got 31! If they mentioned the Susan Hill books I had read...

I haven't counted as there wouldn't be many, probably not beyond 10, but I see some of Victoria Holt's novels are "gothic". Wouldn't have believed it! I have read some of hers and some on my TBR pile. One of the many books I enjoyed in the 1970s.

The Three Musketeers? I've read 40. Obviously like a "gothic" novel!

Obviously not .. I've only read 5, and two of those are by Kate Morton .. she is a great storyteller & I am always enthralled by her books, but they are not what I would call Gothic ..

My first thought was that I don't really do gothic but clearly I've done more than I thought though I do agree that the definition of gothic is perhaps a bit wide!I found this on the WWW: In the most general terms, Gothic literature can be defined as writing that employs dark and picturesque scenery, startling and melodramatic narrative devices, and an overall atmosphere of exoticism, mystery, and dread. Often, a Gothic novel or story will revolve around a large, ancient house that conceals a terrible secret or that serves as the refuge of an especially frightening and threatening character.

I like a Gothic themed novel, but according to the ones on this list I've only read 18.

7 for me, but I'm not too surprised as gothic isn't really my theme, and 3 of the ones I have read were classics I'd read for school and didn't particularly enjoy

Yes, having read the complete works of Mary Stewart and Daphne du Maurier (plus the Brontes in my case) definitely helps!
