windysisters Hi Wendy
I'd appreciate the Peruvian book as that's on the 1001 list so will tick both boxes.
The only other country I haven't done yet is Ukraine, and after looking at GR I'm not sure I'd get on with it.
Thanks for the offer, still keeping my eyes open for any for you, but most recent reads have been from the library.

As for Ukraine, because of the Crimean war you can find plenty of books set in the Crimea so, whilst it's still in the Ukraine (!) this might help you.

There are seven Ukrainian books on the 1001 list so I'll probably end up with them!

Thanks Ellie. I've checked my list this morning and see I've already "done" Jordan with "Appointment with Death by Agatha Christie" - but thanks for thinking of us and keep on with any suggestions!

No worries, I thought I'd got Cameroon for you as well but it's just the author not the setting

Don't buy it! I am half way through and can post it to you when read. Not the best book in the world, but only 213 pages, and you can cross Mauritius off!!
