Do you prefer hardback, paperback or digital? I don't think I have a preference but I do quite like those "floppy" American paperbacks
Do you us a bookmark or do you dog-ear? Bookmark!
Are you a spine breaker?! Occasionally
Do you alphabetise by author, colour, title, or are they rammed on the shelf at random? By author. Tall p/backs at the back of the shelf, smaller ones at the front and outsized books on a separate shelf.
Do you keep, giveaway, or sell? Give away
Do you read with the dust jacket on or remove it? Remove it whilst reading and replace when finished
Do you stop reading when tired or at the end of a chapter? At the end of a chapter unless I actually fall asleep
“It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time”? The former
Buying choice: book reviews, recommendations or just browse? A little of all of these
Do you prefer a tidy ending or a cliffhanger? If a standalone then I don't mind if it's left slight uncertain so the reader can make up their own ending. If a series then a cliffhanger between episodes is quite nice.
Morning, afternoon or night-time reading? Any Time!
How many books on your TBR? 600+
How many books on your wishlist? 40-ish
Your favourite place to read? In bed

Do you prefer hardback, paperback or digital? Paperback preferred, digital is good too though, not a massive fan of hardback though, too bulky and hard to read/carry!
Do you us a bookmark or do you dog-ear? Always a bookmark, or good old fashioned, remember the page number! Never ever dog ear!!!
Are you a spine breaker?! Not if I can help it!!
Do you alphabetise by author, colour, title, or are they rammed on the shelf at random? Alphabetised by author on TBR, keepers are grouped into series/authors!
Do you keep, giveaway, or sell? Mostly giveaway, occasionally keep if it's special!
Do you read with the dust jacket on or remove it? Remove, just slips about and is annoying!!
Do you stop reading when tired or at the end of a chapter? Aim for the end of a chapter, but I fall asleep regularly!
“It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time”? Once upon a time!
Buying choice: book reviews, recommendations or just browse? Mix!!
Do you prefer a tidy ending or a cliffhanger? Tidy, but it doesn't have to be happy!
Morning, afternoon or night-time reading? All of the above, lol!
How many books on your TBR? Somewhere around 1200?!
How many books on your wishlist? About 200
Your favourite place to read? Anywhere I am with a spare 5 mins, but bed mostly!

Do you prefer hardback, paperback or digital? Paperback is easier to read, the dustcovers on the hardbacks slip of and can be annoying. But I don't hate hardbacks they're gorgeous and I've a few, just ordered a signed one!Do you us a bookmark or do you dog-ear? Bookmark!!!!!Are you a spine breaker?! I don't think soDo you alphabetise by author, colour, title, or are they rammed on the shelf at random? My first shelves are my TBR and then it's just in random order but I keep authors together and classics today. And my favourites are together. I have books everywhere at the moment until I move and buy a new bookcase. rammed on the shelf too!! I've no room so some are hanging on for dear life on the edge of the shelfDo you keep, giveaway, or sell? I've given some away and have thought about selling but haven't had any success in the past. I keep books I can't bear to part with or may want to reread. I have some books to giveaway but need to have a sort out very soon as there may/ may not be more. Charity shops usually. Might put them on here but getting to the post office is tricky (my local closed and in the closest the guy there is always on the phone and the wait is long)Do you read with the dust jacket on or remove it? With dust jacket didn't even think of removing it Do you stop reading when tired or at the end of a chapter? End of the chapter, unless I'm in work reading or interrupted. Or if I'm reading whilst cooking and if I continue my food will burn. “It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time”? "It was a dark and stormy night" But I do enjoy a balance so although I prefer that it's good to read some light hearted books now and againBuying choice: book reviews, recommendations or just browse? I love browsing and picking up something new. But it does help to have an idea of what to buy so I enjoy reading reviews and book blogs. But try not to let them stop me reading a book as I've loved books in the past that I avoided reading for a while based on reviews! I love recommendations.Do you prefer a tidy ending or a cliffhanger? Tidy ending.
Morning, afternoon or night-time reading? Whenever I can find the timeHow many books on your TBR? Ummm I haven't really counted. I have ebooks I forget about it's something over 20. And books hidden away that I'm not sure I want to read so maybe 30 not sure. How many books on your wishlist? Same as above. Your favourite place to read? I really on read in my living room or in bed. I don't read on holiday which I love doing because my boyfriend isn't a reader so it would'nt be fair. I also love reading in the garden but it's been too hot and my neighbours are noisy :/ and smoke so yuk! Also get distracted in the garden by noise and butterflies and birds when they are there.

Do you prefer hardback, paperback or digital? I'm not fussy - a book is a book, no matter what format! But I do get a particular joy from those lovely American floppy paperbacks!
Do you us a bookmark or do you dog-ear? Bookmark ALWAYS!!!
Are you a spine breaker?! Not if I can possibly help it
Do you alphabetise by author, colour, title, or are they rammed on the shelf at random? TBR is randomly rammed; I do try to keep keepers together by author and vaguely alphabetised
Do you keep, giveaway, or sell? Mostly give away to friends or charity shops; rarely keep anything nowadays
Do you read with the dust jacket on or remove it? Always remove it, mainly so it doesn't get damaged
Do you stop reading when tired or at the end of a chapter? At the end of a chapter. Which is why I hate books with very long or no chapters
“It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time”? It was a dark and stormy night
Buying choice: book reviews, recommendations or just browse? Mainly from online trawling, and from recommendations
Do you prefer a tidy ending or a cliffhanger? Depends on the book. Sometimes loose threads or (in a series) a cliffhanger can be more satisfying
Morning, afternoon or night-time reading? My day is bookended by reading in bed - I get very irritable if I don't have time to read first and last thing. I also read most evenings after dinner; rarely during the day unless it's very hot or very cold weather
How many books on your TBR? Errmmmm..... about 2000
How many books on your wishlist? No idea ... a couple of hundred??
Your favourite place to read? Bed (see above)

I really hope my answers don't make me sound completely OCD !! Do you prefer hardback, paperback or digital ? Paperback .. sometimes a BN Hardback comes into the Shop that I cannot resist (and at 50p, I'm not leaving it behind)I always used to buy Hardbacks, and for my oldest / fave Authors I do like to keep to the same format .. digital books are always Freebies that I download on a whim .. easy to carry around and I am never without something to readDo you us a bookmark or do you dog-ear ? BookmarkAre you a spine breaker ?! NEVER .. if the spine is uncreased, I will open the pages as narrowly as I can and tilt the book to read it .. Do you alphabetise by author, colour, title, or are they rammed on the shelf at random ? Author surname, then chronologically .. Hardbacks and Paperbacks are kept on separate shelves
This is for my keepers .. my TBR has currently exploded onto every possible surface around the house .. I try to keep those by the same Author together, however everything else is completely random Do you keep, giveaway, or sell ? I seem to have loads of Keepers from long ago ..
I used to sell on eBay, but with the price of postage, I only sell now in bundles of 4 or more .. I am happy to give them to a new home and offer here first ..
I have recently found a 2nd Hand Bookshop to donate to that doesn't have the same quality requirements or turnaround as High Street Charity Shops
Do you read with the dust jacket on or remove it ? Use to read with it on, but now I remove
Do you stop reading when tired or at the end of a chapter ? End of a Chapter ..
When it's getting close to bed-time, I forward count how many pages the next Chapter is and then decide .. usually it's "Just One More" .. “It was a dark and stormy night” or “Once upon a time” ? Dark and stormy, please
However I am partial to the occasional OUAT to lighten the mood Buying choice: book reviews, recommendations or just browse ? Usually just browsing, I don't look at any book review / recommendation outside of the RiSi gangDo you prefer a tidy ending or a cliffhanger ? A tidy ending
I hate reading 400 pages to find all my questions unanswered in a rushed ending UNLESS it is a Series when a good cliffhanger will keep me interested in the next instalment Morning, afternoon or night-time reading ? Anytime
I cannot read first thing in bed, or I get a headache .. I don't like reading a Tree Book in bed anyway as I know I'll fall asleep and crush itHow many books on your TBR ? According to GR .. 1747 How many books on your wishlist ? Again from GR .. 200Your favourite place to read ? Outside .. or on my sofa in the loungeA great Survey, thank you Janice ..
