I'll give it a go. What was wrong with yours and how long had you had it please? Mine is about some audible books I have (same as the other one) and it just doing its own thing! When I was trying to access Amazon on it, everytime I tried to put my password in, the keyboard bit appeared and then disappeared before I had finished, leaving me very frustrated with the device. Sal Mine was a Paperwhite that I'd only just taken out of the packet - kept flicking into negative screen, and when trying the 'fix' it didn't respond, so my replacement & return crossed in the post yesterday .. this one seems gremlin free so far (fingers - crossed) .. Good Luck, maybe there's something in Settings they can talk you through on Chat to fix your glitch

Just sent the Kindle back to Amazon. In essence it had exactly the same problems as the first one had so maybe Amazon has a load of defective ones, without them knowing. My sister think I should wait a few weeks before reordering? What else can I get that I can read books on, listen to audible books, has internet and emails on? I paid about £80.00 for the Fires so don't want to spend silly money. I also have a Kindle that isn't backlit so I can still access my books on it. Any help and advice would be appreciated. Sal

I have all the harry Potter books on audible, would I be able to have them/transfer them to an android one? I go sleep every night listening to Harry Potter, which reminds I'm going to have to put a Ken Follet CD on repeat tonight to be able to sleep. Sal

It’s just a basic tablet, same as the kindle fire, basically the fire is an Amazon branded tablet, you can also buy other brands lol! All your books would be on your audible/kindle account and so you would just need to get the app on your new tablet and log in to your account Nat

You can get some which are a bit more expensive but have a "reading mode" which works will all e-book apps and is kinder to your eyes.

Same for me, Samsung tablet + Kindle app. For library books in Epub format, tablet and Pocketbook app.
