I finally settled on my next book: Call the Dying by Andrew Taylor from his Lydmouth series. I managed a chapter at bedtime last night.

Finished listening to Walking on Sunshine by Giovanna Fletcher, it cut deeper than I was expecting given the title and cheery cover art. Reminded me a lot of P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern, one of my all-time favourites, and I liked the fact that Zaza and Vicky were also in a bit of a rut to get out of when they went to Peru.
Then I started First Day of My Life by Lisa Williamson, which was good until about a third way through when it took a turn that I thought a bit ridiculous. Still am sufficiently invested to know how it ends.
I also finished The Wake-Up Call by Beth O'Leary yesterday, one of hers that I didn't enjoy so much (I loved her previous one The No-Show) but I like her writing and imagination enough that even a "less good" one I still found a fun read. I thought the concept of trying to rescue a hotel by reuniting lost rings with their owners was a bit bizarre, though it served as a backdrop for a very nice story.
Am still about 150 pages to go with The Doll House by Phoebe Morgan, but I'm in London today and I wanted to start a new book, so up next will be The Other Half by Charlotte Vassal.
