I often ponder making one... then I open my spreadsheet and decide it's too much work to get it going. I'd keep it going if I were you, given you've already put in said effort at the start!

I have used Goodreads as a database since 2018 and find it really useful. Feeding it in the beginning can be time consuming but since you don't seem to update your thread regularly it might be worth the effort.
If your list is sorted by author there is a way in GR of displaying all books by an author so you'd only have to tick them off.

I did this before I joined Goodreads, which is now my only record .. I don't have the inclination to run a spreadsheet too .. You need to get all your books on GR, Missus .. then I'll know what you've got when I have a mooch at work .. Lol

I keep mine going even though I have all the books on Goodreads AND a spreadsheet for keeping track of challenges. The one here is mostly so that I can see how many books are going in and out each month, and so I have a one-line "review" ready to post in the "What we read in XXX month" thread. If I had to write all those together at the end of the month, it wouldn't happen. Also I never trust my only copy of anything to one site controlled by others in case something happens to it. Like Goodreads might suddenly delete my account because of some mistake... it may sound paranoid but it comes of working in online marketing and knowing you will inevitably lose something sooner or later and need that backup. Also I just love making lists and organising things LOL
Do any of these reasons appeal to you?

Do any of these reasons appeal to you? I'd never thought of that but will upload screen captures of the previous years in my cloud, just in case 😆

You can also export your GR book list if you go to My Books and then there is an Import/Export link at the bottom of the list on the left. This gives you an Excel file which is a good way to have a backup.
