And mine: A God in Ruins - Kate AtkinsonShip of Brides - Jojo MoyesI am Pilgrim - Terry HayesThe Paying Guests - Sarah WatersMy Name is Leon - Kit de WaalCloud Atlas - David MitchellThe Goldfinch - Donna TarttLast Rituals - Yrsa SigurdoardottirUntying the Knot - Linda GillardHearts and Minds - Amanda CraigNo real stinkers, certainly nothing I'd discourage others from trying, as we all like different things There's two that I loved, also, Sarah. I thank you for passing on to me A God in Ruins, which I have now passed on myself, and My Name is Leon didn't make my list, only because I read too many "special books" last year, and I had to cross it off when I got the list down to 14 (i.e four too many). I only gave 5 books 10 out of 10, so the second five listed here are probably 9.5 out of 10. Surprisingly, Jojo Moyes makes it into both my best and worst reads.......
Top Ten Favourite Reads The Professor of Truth by James Robertson The Last Letter from your Lover by Jojo Moyes The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (book 1 of trilogy) After You by Jojo Moyes The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb (book 1 of trilogy) The Cold Dish by Craig Johnson (first of series) Little Black Lies by Sharon Bolton
Five Worst Reads Who Killed Netta Maul by Frank Arthur The Morville Hours by Katherine Swift Life Mask by Emma Donoghue Sheltering Rain by Jojo Moyes Beatrice and Virgil by Yann Martel

In no particular order my top 10 of 2016 were: Me Before You by Jojo Moyes Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar children by Ransom Riggs Harry Potter and the Cursed child by JK Rowling Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner The truth according to us by Annie Barrows The Trysting Tree by Linda Gillard A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness Room by Emma Donoghue Before I go to sleep by SJ Watson The girl on the train by Paula Hawkins
No 1 was definitely The Trysting Tree, which made me cry more than once, and still has me thinking about it several months later!
My least faves weren't so much stinkers more disappointments
The Secret Brother by Virginia Andrews, a poor follow up to Flowers in the Attic The grim grotto by lemony snicket, series is getting dull and repetitive but I nred to know the ending Royal wedding by meg cabot, a poor revival of what was a fun series

I really enjoyed: The Gorl on the Train Harry Potter and the Cursed Child All the light we cannot see
I didn't finish it in 2016 but I started my current book in 2016 and love it - it's The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. My cousin bought it for me as well as the sequal for my birthday and I'm really excited to read it!
My all time favourite book this year was Ready Player One. I actually listened to the audiobook read by Will Wheaton and I wasn't expecting much but wow, it blew me away! I love video games though so that probably helped!
