I remember getting my first mobile phone towards the end of 1996 - I know it was then because I'd just started working in London and used it to ring my dad to collect me from the station as the payphones were never working! It must have been sometime around there that I bought my first 'brick' .. I got a promotion but had to travel to Ilford by train, so I could get in contact with home when stuck at stations etc .. It was a damn heavy brick, too .. I didn't realise I could delete someone else's comment .. Oooh, the power of the Del button Only if it's a comment on your own review. I deleted this one because it wasn't useful to other readers (that's what I'll say if she notices anyway 😁)

What a fruit loop. You can't argue with people like that.

Iris (teawithdarcy) and Mogsy .... anyone on here recognise those names as Goodreads friends? Only suddenly I seem to be flooded with reviews and comments from people I have never heard of and didn't contact. Does this happen every so often? I've just noticed that Iris is friends with Mary .. so they are both 'friends of friends' ..

Hello Mrs M janetandjohnThought it would be easier to reply here .. I was surprised to know that my Year of Books had been shared .. not bothered that it has, but I don't know how I managed it .. I was thinking about sharing the link to Facebook, but although I clicked on the icon, I didn't proceed with my posting .. Anyway .. having another look at the page, there is a 'Share' next to the Facebook / Twitter icons on the right hand side, above the row of Books .. try that and we'll all tell you if it's worked ..

It has been noticed that the ability to update on your reading progress from the Goodreads home page has disappeared .. I have have seen a FB post by Karen kaydee23 who states that the issue is known to GR and they are working to put it right .. Hopefully it will be corrected soon ..

As this is only my 2nd year (?) of the GR Reading Challenge I thought maybe this was a regular thing and was disappointed that the book I started in Dec and have almost finished won't now be counted in the 2019 GR Challenge. Glad to know it's not

Glad to know it's not I'm confused? The annual challenges go on the books you Finish in each year so your current book will be in the 2019 challenge, not the 2018 challenge - is that what you meant?

If you want it counted in December, you'll have to change the date you read it.

At the moment on GR it seems we can't enter the page number we're up to each day and I thought this might be a regular New Year thing but from what @geminii it's something that's gone wrong, hope that makes sense After I posted the above your comment 'it's back' prompted me to go on. Yay, thanks, I did look 30mins ago and it wasn't there, promise

Never had this happen before but I just tried to add my current book in GR and had an error message telling me they have too many people online to cope Must be all the US members doing their new year updates etc.
