Interesting article, and for the most part, I agree with the statement .. but 15,000 Books (& DVD's) is more than an extensive collection, especially as it looks like he hasn't considered their storage ..
I would feel very cluttered if I added another 140 books to my home, let alone 14,000 to get up to his level .. Eeeeek !!

There used to be a second hand bookshop in Tenby that looked like this - probably the only bookshop I didn't want to go to.

Tenby is my favourite place and I'm visiting soon to buy house stuff ( excuses really planned to anyway but they do have amazing shops) I went in that shop once but I hate how messy it is. How can you browse in a shop like that? There's only one other book shop in Tenby now it has lovely gifts but few books. I love Tenby home from home after spending childhood holidays there 😀

As the guy says, “If I was living in a big, posh house and had this amount of books on the shelves, they would call it a library. Nobody would go ‘Oh, Lord Toffington is a hoarder!’ But because I’m living in a bungalow and I’m the underclass, I’m a hoarder.” Just love that quote...... [Lord Toffington! ] - and yer man is, sadly, quite correct!!

“I just thought it was normal to buy a lot of books you don’t necessarily read.” <-- I'd like to think he's right...
(Nassim Nicholas Taleb too seems to go on this line, he argues that books that he hasn't read are the assets, because there is still stuff that he can learn from them!)
