I have a bookmooch account. Some of the books on my wishlist have been on there for years! I used to have far more success with my RISI swap list and the readership of that was smaller considering the fact that bookmooch is international.
So what do you do when you get fed up with looking/waiting? Do you go to the library? do you by from Amazon? or what.

Hmm, good question. I've got a few wishlisters that have sat on the list for a good while. I try and get what I can from the library, and have resorted to buying them if not available (and I want to complete a series), but other than that, there they sit!

I’m sorry to say that as I have little-to-no patience (and the deadly temptation of next-day delivery with Amazon Prime), I usually just buy...from there or Waterstones if I’m in town and passing....not ‘passing’, I never PASS! And I find it almost impossible not to buy something when they’ve got me through the door.

My short answer would be .. the Library ..
However, as you all know, I love my Series .. there is one book that I still cannot find in any Charity Shop (and I pop in lots) .. it is not an old book, only published in 2017 .. I did think that as the last Book out of 15, I would find it in plenty of time, but now FF have reorganised the Series, into chronological order of events, rather than publishing, so it has been pushed higher up the list .. I could buy BN from Amazon, I could buy from eBay, but P&P of £3 stops me (unless a seller has a bundle I want) .. The last time I succumbed and paid £2.99 for a Wish lister, I found three copies for 50p each within the next month .. Aaaaargh !!
What's the betting, now I've voiced it, the damn thing will show up next week …

Yea, nothing under £2.80. Except a German one. Could be risky!
I'll keep an eye out.

I too have little patience lol.
I tend to go to Amazon/Ebay/Abe books. THere are loads of great second hand books shops online where you can them for a couple of pounds.

My Bookmooch account has been dormant for years. If I want something badly enough I buy. I buy mainly Kindle books anyway now.

Usually I just wait. I find I generally have a few to be getting on with in the meantime!!! Or I put it on a Christmas or Birthday list and one of my dear family oblige

I use Bookmooch more to give books that I wouldn't read again a new home, and I just buy if I specifically want something. I then use my Bookmooch points to discover books that I didn't know of before - not super sustainable for the TBR but it makes me happy!

I gave up on Bookmooch some time ago as I found a lot if the books I received were in very poor condition. I now use Awesome Books a lot. They are a small company and cheaper than Amazon and they keep sending me vouchers!
