Thank you, sadly I've had problems with WOB in the past, so I now avoid
I'm just a bargain hunter (ok, cheapskate) who cannot remember the last book they paid full price for ..

Ha same. Can't remember the last time I bought a book for more than £3 the exception buying two at Waterstone's last year but that's only because I got a voucher for my birthday

I use the library when possible for wishlist books, if they cannot help I look at ebay otherwise the book stays on the wishlist!

I gave up on Bookmooch some time ago as I found a lot if the books I received were in very poor condition. I now use Awesome Books a lot. They are a small company and cheaper than Amazon and they keep sending me vouchers! I'm another fan of Awesome books, no postage costs so you can buy just the one!

Ta though, I'd never heard of them .. The Last Tudor by Philippa Gregory .. maybe my BF will find it before year end .. Oh I've seen that a couple of times in charity shops near me - if I see it again it's yours!

I use the library first then I will see if it comes up cheap on kindle or then a tree copy from Ebay or Amazon be it with Prime or the marketplace from the likes of WoB etc.. Then there is always the off chance I will find it in one of the local charity shops - bonus!

I seem to go through periods where I can resist buying books but when the temptation gets too much I'll get something off my wishlist usually somewhere off the web (I know I'm contributing to the death of the high street). I'm also on boochmooch but now look at that as a way to create space on my bookshelves, my wishlist on there hardly ever produces a mooch for me (although, because of costs, I do restrict myself to this country)

I share my wishlist with my sister and mother-in-law so they can keep a look out for books for me.
Most of the books on there are ones I'm trying to get to complete my Around the World Challenge so they're a bit obscure but I'm in no great rush to get them.
The only time I am usually impatient for a book is if it fills a gap in a series but then I'll try the library and if still no luck I'll try AbeBooks.
At the moment, as part of my Mrs Mac's Special Challenge, I'm trying to read-up the series I've collected and get up to date with them.
