Did you know that the National Trust has second hand book shops? If you are a member, you may had had an article about this in your last regional newsletter, although it just may be only the South West at the mo' where there are currently 50. At Lodge Park, a shelf in the cafe outgrew itself and is now in a renovated shepherd's hut; at Glendurgan there is a book nook in the old fish cellar; at Trelissick their bookshop has grown to four rooms in the house.
If you visit NT places it might be a good idea for "book-looking" because you never know!
Worth keeping a note somewhere (or even in your head) for when life is back to (possibly) normal.

Yes, I did know this, there is one at Chartwell (the home of Churchill), which is well worth a visit in itself!

I know there are loads .. I've visited many of them over the years .. Barrington Court has a large Barn as a bookshop .. Antony has a 'shed' near the entrance .. Brockhampton in a Dovecot & Berrington Hall in the old Dairy, both Shropshire way .. Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk has theirs in the Gun Room of one of the Towers .. Chirk Castle on the Welsh Border is another with a barn full .. Whittington Castle is basically a ruin, with a tea room and bookshop .. Visiting that lot will keep you busy for a little while ..

Yes, I've been volunteering in one for over four years lol! And been visiting them for many years both nearby and when we are on our travels. The most amazing one I've been to thus far is at Blickling Hall in Norfolk, it is massive!

Blimey! I was slow off the mark then. All the NT places we have been to (SW only) didn't seem to have any, or maybe I missed the signs when I went there. When we are back to normal, and Mr Mac can drive again, we will do the rounds and see what we find.
