Evening all, I am looking to get a new kindle. My current one does not have a back light, so ok for holiday reading but no good for night reading, unless I have the bedside lamp on.
So I have looked on Amazon and there is 2 that I can't choose between.
There is one at £69.99 which says Kindle now with built in front light 4GB 167PPI 4 LEDS
Adjustable front light lets you read comfortably for hours, indoors and outdoors, day and night.
Purpose built for reading, with a 167 ppi glare-free display that reads like printed paper, even in direct sunlight.
Distraction-free reading. Highlight passages, look up definitions, translate words and adjust text size, without ever leaving the page.
Select from millions of books, newspapers and audiobooks. Holds thousands of titles so you can take your library with you.
Prime members read for free with unlimited access to over a thousand titles.
A single battery charge lasts weeks, not hours. Learn more in Technical Details below.
Enjoy more books with Audible. Pair with Bluetooth headphones, or speakers, to switch seamlessly between reading and listening.
Then the other is Kind paperwhite 8GB 300PPI 5 LEDS £119.99
Now available in Black, Twilight Blue, Plum and Sage.
Waterproof (IPX8), so you’re free to read and relax at the beach, by the pool or in the bath.
Enjoy twice the storage with 8 GB. Or choose 32 GB to hold more magazines, comics and audiobooks.
Now with Audible. Pair with Bluetooth headphones or speakers to listen to your story.
A single battery charge lasts weeks, not hours. Learn more in Technical Details below.
The built-in adjustable light lets you read indoors and outdoors, day and night.
Low prices and massive selection: over 5.5 million books including latest bestsellers, Kindle exclusives and more.
So I know the differences and that the paperwhite has more PPI, has more Gb and is waterproof. I prefer a book but just looking for something to read in bed, when my other half wants the light off. Does anyone have the cheaper version, is it any good or should I save up a bit more and get the other one? Help, assistance or advice, would be very much appreciated.
