I have finally managed to read Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros and liked it - I usually stay away form the first big hype over books and wait it out a little to avoid lots of spoilers etc. And although not 5 starts for me it was a solid 4.

Your House Will Pay by Steph Cha
I only gave this one 4.5* (and rounded down on GR, for reasons elaborated on in my review), but I found it such a powerful story. Even the details will remain with me for a long time. I decided to nominate this one over my two 5* reads as they are both from series that I enjoy, whereas this one is less well-known but I would recommend it anytime.
