For regular readers of Victor T. Foia's Dracula Chronicles novel the real Dracula needs no introduction. Among the most famous and yet misunderstood men in history now, in the Twenty-First Century his fellow countryman take sit upon himself to unleash the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about this remarkable individual through the medium of the historical novel.
The most recent installment, the third of seven, sees us in Vlad's youth and his time as a royal hostage in the Ottoman court. We see friendships and bonds of affection warring with questions of faith and international in such a way that any reader would find it difficult not to relate the young dragon's plight to many issues facing our modern world today. We watch as the Wallachian Prince goes through a short, sharp period of needing to grow wise beyond his years and grow up fast! Join him as he navigates the increasingly treacherous waters of the Ottoman court and come to the volume ending when....well. You'll have to read it and see, won't you?
This book is recommended for fans of historical fiction and any flavor of Dracula literature as well as already die-hard fans of the series. Awaiting the next installment with bated breath!
