It's been a while since I felt the need to write a review, but this book was so good I need to tell people about it.
The Blurb from Goodreads Pirriwee Public's annual school Trivia Night has ended in a shocking riot. One parent is dead. The school principal is horrified. As police investigate what appears to have been a tragic accident, signs begin to indicate that this devastating death might have been cold-blooded murder.
My Review I listened to the audio version of this book and what can I say that will do this justice? It's Amazing!
The audio was very well read and as it was my first time listening I thought I would struggle, I didn't and that was all down to a, how great the story was and b, the narrator.
The story revolves around 3 main women characters and their lives in the run up to a major event which you find out about at the beginning (but only that it happens, nothing more), you then go back in time for the story running up to the event before going past the event towards the end. At the end of each chapter you get little snippets of gossip from other minor characters.
I wrongly thought this was going to be an easy breezy read and if you are reading it for that you may be slightly surprised by some of the events. There are some very heavy subjects in this book and some big trigger warnings, I cannot say what they are without giving away the plot though. Despite some of the tough parts, this book had me laughing out loud in places at the goings on around the parents of this primary school.
This book hit home with me, made me realise that just knowing surface things about people isn't enough to judge and that what may seem perfect is often hiding some 'Little Lies'.
Go and read this beautiful book.

I really enjoyed this one too. It was a while since I read it but I remember being desperate to know what the event was. Some of the mothers were truly awful!

Totally agree, I absolutely love this author's books and this is one of her best if not the best one, so well written and compelling.

I've just finished it and really enjoyed it too, I loved the little snippets from all the people at the end. Giving insights, and filling in gaps. It really added to the depth of the story. I'm looking forward to more by her now, I have at least 1 on my TBR Nat
