I use it everyday for logging my progress on books I am currently reading and also much, much more Phew !! I'm worn out just reading your list of activities, let alone getting involved in everything .. when do you find time to read, or sleep ??
Seriously, that's great info Mandy, thank you ..
I think I'll take the time to sort out what I want a record of first, and no my 600+ TBR is NOT going on .. I'm just going to add my 'reads' .. so she says today ..
Then I can explore a bit more and see what interests me .. this year, through this Forum, are my first attempts at any Challenges, so I may just stick with those for now ..
I have entered one giveaway, though .. well, beginners luck and all that !! HaHa

lol I don't do all of those things every day - though I prob log on most days. Some peeps are on there all the time and I barely have time to catch up on much. A tip with giveaway's - you'll see each one lists the countries that are eligible to enter, I realised some time ago that there was no point in entering any open to the US as a popular book can have over 10,000 members entering with only one book being given away. Whereas if you only enter UK only giveaways you will see the number entering is very much lower ie. 500-1,000 (maybe less) and the number of books is often 5,10 or 20, and so a much higher chance of winning. I've won three in a month a couple of times now. It takes a while to find everything on there, I was registered for years before I used it much and only started going on there more when this site used to go 'down' for a few days at a time and I was getting withdrawal symptoms from bookish chat lol If you are into crime/mystery/thrillers there is a good group called 'A Good Thriller' and I join in their 'Pick it for Me' thread every month. Have fun looking around there are lots of 'how to...' threads to help you find stuff.

I joined Goodreads years ago and find it invaluable for keeping track of what books I have and what I've read. I use the app on my phone so that when I'm out I can check to see if I already have a book before buying it again, which I have been known to do several times! I do the Reading Challenge every year. I don't use it for recommendations so much as I get plenty of those from elsewhere but I leave reviews on there and enjoy the interaction with other GR 'friends'.

I use it everyday for logging my progress on books I am currently reading and also - I follow a few authors, but then I do that on Faceache. I enter the giveaways. Don't do reviews. Will check out Listopia. The shelves I've got on the spreadsheet. Don't do creative writing. It is what you make of it and whatever works for you isn't it. But pennylane you're like aileen11 , a bad influence(!) as we like a lot of the same stuff, and I'm always adding wishlisters with you two! I try my best! My reading life is on there, I also use it everyday, also won around 30 books, top of my friends in the Neverending Trivia quiz (!), and glad I can see your wishlist now peppercricket! So much easier for seeing if I've got anything I can pass on. (By the way Janice - Rosemary has finished the Rabelais, I said you might be interested in it next )

Mine is only on here, and I do look at other people's - but perhaps you only keep the GR one up to date? Other members - do you use the RISI wishlist facility still?

My W/L is now on GRs. I don't swap or keep a W/L on here. I've also got it available as an Excel spreadsheet if anyone wants it.

I still use the RISI wishlist even though the site is creaking ominously - more of a reference for me to reserve from the library if I can't get the the books elsewhere

The wishlist I have on RiSi is up to date, in that I am still looking for those books. It's not my complete wishlist though as I have a shared list with my sister and MIL which we update on a monthly basis and means that all three of us can be looking for all of the books. I couldn't keep up with updating the Risi list as well so I don't add to the Risi list and just try to remember to take books off when I acquire them.

I still use RiSi for my wishlist and keep it up to date but I have a longer one on my computer which is mainly for books that are in a series.

I still have wishlist here which I updated recently though when I tried to copy some from GR I couldn't find a lot of them.
I have many, many more on GR which is my complete list. I have also created a 'considering reading' shelf as I am trying not to add so many to my wishlist but still find the odd one I am not sure about but don't want to forget about.

I don't have a Wishlist, per se .. I have a couple of books on RISI, but this is just a token .. I have added a 'shelf' on GR for a Wishlist, but it is currently empty ..
I tend to use my little book (which is falling apart & desperately needs renewing) for writing in what books I've actually got. For an Author / Series that I am 'collecting', I write in the list from FF and tick off what I own, with the idea being I can quickly check on this in any shop.
As I do not own a smart phone, this is my only means of referral whilst out and about ..
I am trying to be very good at the moment and make sure more is going off my TBR than going on ..

I haven't used the Risi wishlist for ages now. When I stopped swapping I took all my books off. I use the Goodreads wishlist sometimes but I use the eREaderIQ site to list and track all the books I want as I mainly buy Kindle books now anyway.

I use Goodreads most days as it helps me keep track of all the books I have on the go. I also post my reviews there which adds a link to Twitter.
I do the Goodreads challenge every year and enjoy seeing what my friends are reading.

I love it, its fantastic, it's my favorite site after fantastic fiction(another tool to help find books like you'll need another one) I set a good reads challenge of how many books I want to read in a year Enter competitions(Sometimes advance copies of books are given away) Record where I am on a book Find new friends to chat with In various groups, which have buddy reads too Find new books - I would of never heard of I have a net galley shelf & library shelf, which helps me to keep track of both If you join you can even add some of us as friends and find some more books to add to your list to take shopping
