Saw this on the BBC website this morning and it made me grin. Apparently literally from Japanese: "tsundoku" has the meaning of buying reading material and piling it upbut has come to mean buying lots of books and then not reading them. I will happily put my hand in the air for this one .. I could say both hands, but I need one to carry my book .. He he !! I must confess that I felt more in control when my books fitted on the shelves, but that was pre RISI .. now, my home feels more like the above statement ..
