Hi all
As there seems to be some other members newly returned and have left a thread here, I thought I would too.
My excuse for not being here the past few months (probably since early 2019) is just got busy with my Goodreads Challenge for 2019.
You'll see I set my goal quite high. 190. If my accuracy is correct, I'm at 150. Although I seem to have cocked it up by clicking on some books that I thought wasn't registered as being read this year and so I've read them twice, which I haven't so I reckon I'm at 150.
Anyways you may remember that I became a librarian in Dec 2017. Alls gone well until next week. My hours have gone from 19 to 13. Not a happy bunny.
On the upside, I'm now an Oxfam volunteer in the book department. Only once a week. Next week I'll use my Wednesday to be there. I have to travel to get there so luckily they pay my petrol and lunch
Good to be back

Welcome back I am trying to finish off my 40 book challenge on here (plus 10) but luckily I only have 4 left on my Goodreads one as I have kept my numbers lower the last two years with working more hours.

I'm beginning to think I've set too high a target as I'm pushing for it now. Next time it wont be so high. Saying that though, last year it was 180 and i managed, but this year just 10 more and I'm putting myself under pressure

I came back recently too!
I only have a goal of 50 and that is hard enough working full time as a teacher!!!

Hello. That's horrible about your hours being cut and certainly puts my librarian dreams into perspective. I feel like I've been busy this year too. Ive met my good reads goal of 50 I did try and widdle my tbr down but bought more books. I've made my peace with it. Currently doing National Novel Writing Month so I've been a bit busy too
