Does anyone have a clue how GR work out their recommendations? The other day I'd got 'Because you liked My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult you might like Fifty Shades of Grey by E L James' then today I've got 'Because you liked Number Ten by Sue Townsend you might like Ronnie by Ronnie O'Sullivan' his autobiography. Really GR have a strange view on how my mind works

It's because a computer does the picking and of course, they do not work like a human brain hahaha . I just ignore all of them.

Yeah, they are quite bizarre for me as well. And I have to ignore them - my wishlist and TBR are too long as they are! Though sometimes I scroll through just to have a bit of a laugh.

I wonder whether it goes on other books someone has read that has read the book you just read perhaps?
But as Susan says, it's a computer doing the picking not a human!

Aaah, I never look at the home page as I stay logged in & bookmark my page ..

Just on the right of your Goodreads Hompage, you have New & Interviews box at the top and underneath Recommendations with an arrow on the left so you can scroll through their recs for you. If you then click on 'View all recommendations' underneath the book thumbnail you will be taken to a page of recs based on what you are currently reading, what's on your favourites shelf, wishlist, tbr, etc and fav genres if you have selected any. I used to spend ages in there when I had way more time on my hands and a smaller tbr mountain
