Yay I've completed my GR challenge 78 out of 75 books I noticed today, probably the earliest I've evey done it! Though I have lowered my numbers the last two years since I've been working more hours and I have read a few novellas and short stories but still....... Time to up it again

I lowered my target this year because I got nowhere near it last year but I'm currently one book ahead of schedule so I'm pleased with that and have obviously chosen the correct target.

I lowered mine as like Wendy I did so terribly last year! I only set it at 20, But thanks to lockdown I hit my target back at the start of June, and so upped it to 25, but was close to that by the end of June so upped it to 30, but when it became clear I’d be hitting that one soon too, I’ve upped it again to 35! I keep thinking I’ll be back at work soon and won’t have as much time, but it keeps rumbling on! Nat

Yes, you might as well pop the number up a little bit .. I always put my aspiration at 100 reads, as this is usually doable if I mix some shorter reads in with the 400+ pagers too, esp on kindle in those darker, shorter winter evenings ..

Completed my challenge as well - in fact by the end of the year I'll probably have read over double what I said I would read. But that's a benefit of being retired and living on my own, I can read when I want to without having to take anybody else into consideration. But sometimes it would be nice to have conversations in the evenings so there's benefits to both!

I didn't sort of mean conversations like Zoom ones - I'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to technology and talking on the internet, it's not me. I don't like Skype either. I'm a bit of an oddity to be honest. But thanks for thinking of me

I set mine at 85 this year, I am currently 3 books behind but am in the middle of reading several books. So I might catch up at some point.
Well done to those that have managed to complete their challenges already.

Going to have to set mine higher next year as, up to now, I have read just over the number I put down . Sal
