Oh hello! We're already friends on Bookmooch (same username as on here), met on there I think, didn't realise you were on here too
I have bookcrossing under the same username but am not very active, I only use it to log books I receive that have already been registered and don't register books of my own.

I mean I think I'm going to use it the same. I jsut get a lost of books registered from RISI and bookmooch and the bookcrossing shelves on campus so I figured I might as well - it's all good fun!

I'm on Bookcrossing too and have been for years and years and have left loads of books all over the world, literally all over the world, but NEVER found one! And only on a couple of occasions has anyone logged that they have found one of mine..... On Bookmooch I'm MandyJ I think...

I love the idea of BookCrossing but I have registered and released loads of books and hardly ever get notifications they have been found, except by a couple of active users near me. If they are left in known places for books, like communal bookshelves in hotels / youth hostels, or phonebox libraries, they seem more likely to be found than ones left at random on a park bench. And always put a sticker on the spine so they are easily identifiable as bookcrossing
