So, having failed my 2020 challenge (only by 6 books) I've kept my number the same at 55.
I think I was on track most of the year but two things made a difference: no two-week Greek holiday when I would get through 6 or 7 books; gaining a cat at the end of October who has disrupted early morning routine. Also, for most of the year I've been working from home and tend to have my lunch with MrW - at work I sit on my own and read my book so that has lost me 20 pages a day too.
I'm determined to find new times of the day for reading and not let these factors slow me down in 2021

I set myself a challenge of 35 last year, as I was having a bit of a reading slump at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020, but I ended up reading 52 (thanks lockdown??).
I've set the challenge slightly higher this year - 40 books. I'm being conservative again, I know, but I am about to begin training for my new role, and I have a feeling it's going to be an intense six months (and I might be quite tired!). We shall see how it goes ... I can always raise the number later!

Wow, 100? Amazing!
Last year I set mine to 30, then increased it to 35 and finished up reading 37. Wondering whether to keep it at 35 or go for the 40? Hm...

I set 36 last year and read 36 (with a half carried over!) but as I picked up a bit in the later part of the year I'm being optimistic and have set this year at 40. Seems to be a few of us at this sort of level

I'm also in the 3 figure club .. going for 100 for the 5th year running .. Would be great if I didn't add 200 books to my TBR over the same timeframe .. Best of luck everyone - but I still advocate quality over quantity, so just enjoy whatever you read ..

Well 2019 I only managed to read a pitiful 11 books, so for 2020 I went conservative and set my challenge at 20, when I’d almost hit that by May (thanks lockdown!) I kept upping it, til I landed on 52 target, but read a fab 61 books!! So 2021 I’ve gone for an optimistic 52 again and will see how I fare! Nat

I only joined in last year for the first time and set the target a little too high even though I did manage it in the end. This year I'm setting it to 75

I put my challenge at 100 last year and ended up reading 256! Mostly due to the various lockdowns. This year I've put it at 150.

I read 61 books last year although it would be less if the book I finished at 12:09/10 on January 1st hadn't been counted, I was trying to finish it by midnight and my timing was off LOL My goal is 62 this year. When I was working full time hours from November onwards I was struggling to read (stress and anxiety!)
I might go over it who knows, I'm trying to only read a max of 3 books at a time. I am still struggling with one I started in October though :/ I'm almost finished on my first book for this year, it's a shame because it's so good

I started off with a goal of 120 last year, but with lockdowns I increased it to 150. On furlough again now, so I'm shooting for 150 again this year.

I'm sticking with 50...had to reduce to 40 last year as I go into bad habits. I would love to go for more though!
