Our post is often delayed. My book in last year's circle took nearly three weeks to return here, we'd pretty much declared it lost... but it did turn up in the end.
Maybe the postie is joining the circle by reading them before he delivers them... LOL

Two Sainsburys trolley hoppers: Couldn't resist a £4 copy of C.L. Taylor's latest book Her Last Holiday, having enjoyed several of hers recently. And Outbreak by Frank Gardner caught my eye, a bioterrorism espionage set deep within the Arctic circle.

I am surprised that with all the postal issues we haven't had more books go missing tbh

I was stuck on the till at work today so I picked up Jennings Goes To School by Anthony Buckeridge, which I thought would be a quick read for quiet moments. My brother had a lot of the Jennings & Darbishire books as a child, and I used to read them too. But then we were busy in the shop, so I had only read 50 pages by closing time, so of course I had to buy it and bring it home

A friend returned some books I "lent" her (I actually gave them to her, as I've already read them, but she insisted on giving them back) and gave me two others that she came across in a charity shop that she thought I might like. I'm especially chuffed with the second as it's relatively new, I'm surprised its in charity shops already!
