From Kindle offers, a wishlister The Wolves of Savernake and its #2 The Ravens of Blackwater by Edward Marson. Another one of the series is also on offer but I'm going to read #1 first, just in case. They are crime stories set in medieval England. And he writes under a pseudonym 😊

From the library, ebook. 200 gros mots pour enrichir votre répertoire by Catherine Guennec (200 swear words to extend your vocabulary). A kind of slang dictionary of lesser known or out of fashion words. Funny and interesting.

From Amazon: Paper by Andrew Stanek (thank you windysisters for the link on the 40+BC thread, I was struggling to find something by an author born in the same year as me!)

Went to Heffers to buy a card for a friend, came out with Something Doesn't Add Up by Paul Goodwin, There's No Such Thing as an Easy Job by Kikuko Tsumura and no card (didn't fancy any of the ones with a Cambridge setting).

Third in the Domesday series, The Dragon of Archenfield by Edward Marston. Kindle. Fits the challenge, too.

Broadband failed last weekend and I only got the new equipment last night. Meanwhile, despite all my intentions to stop buying books and reduce my TBR, several seem to have made their way into my home. Here's the list with my excuses Of Love and Shadows - Isabel Allende (library) - read this week, 3 stars Inside Mr Enderby - Anthony Burgess (library) - read this week, 4 stars The Year of the Death of Ricardo Reis - Jose Saramago (library) The Wings of the Sphinx - Andrea Camilleri (too battered to sell in the shop) Anniversaries, vols 1 & 2 - Uwe Johnson (ordered in December for a challenge) The Museum of Unconditional Surrender - Dubravka Ugresic (I don't even remember ordering this one so it must have been on New Year's Eve )
