I tried and failed to get through The Traveling Triple-C Incorporeal Circus by Alanna McFall, didn't really grip my attention. A bit whiffy, but nothing too offensive.

Silence is Goldfish by Annabel Pitcher I found rather weird and it was hard to follow the story as neither the blurb nor the opening chapters did a good job at all of setting the scene.
Mr Two-Bomb by William Coles was also a disappointment, thought the author tried too hard to imitate a Japanese writing style instead of writing as the reporter that he is, and ended up with something in between that was stilted and didn't work at all.
