Wow! That's amazing.
I don't know about reading it, though ... I can imagine I might want to hold on to my very last swap for nostalgic reasons!

Next is The Liar by Stephen Fry - a swap from only 4 years ago
I finally got round to this and unfortunately was underwhelmed. It would have been outrageous when first published in 1991 no doubt, but now it just seemed sad to me.
My next oldest swap is The Soul Slayer by Paul Doherty, from August 2016. I have no idea what this one is about, so that will be fun!

I've tried and failed with Stephen Fry's books on a couple of occasions, just not my thing.

So 6 months later, I have finally read The Soul Slayer by Paul Doherty - about a 16th-century soul-stealing warlock. 3 stars.
My next oldest swap is Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve, swapped in September 2016.

The Masqueraders was a fun, easy read. Not sure why I put it off so long. My next swap is The Day of the Locust & Miss Lonelyhearts by Nathanael West, from March 2017. I only have five swaps left now.

I don't want to make new posts in this thread and bump it up because it makes me sad to see Mrs Mac's post about her last swap at the top of this page, and I'm sure others would feel the same. I finally finished The Day of the Locust & Miss Lonelyhearts yesterday. Dark humour from the 1930s - two novellas about the Hollywood movie industry and New York journalism respectively. 4 stars for each book. I've lost my list of swaps again. I expect it will turn up, probably under a pile of books When it does, I will see what's next.

3 February 2023
Found the list. It was at the side of my printer. I had two left after The Day of the Locust & Miss Lonelyhearts, but I happened to read A Meditation on Murder by Robert Thorogood last month. That only leaves one:
Engleby by Sebastian Faulks, which I swapped in April 2017. One of my Goodreads challenges involves reading books in the same month that you added them to the TBR however many years ago, so I will plan to read this one in April.
---------------------
20 April 2023
I finished Engleby. That ends my RiSi swaps!
No one else is involved in this thread so if the mods want to delete it now, that's fine with me.
