Just thought I'd resurrect this one, as I've just read the next on my list. The challenge is to look at your Completed Swaps in RiSi, starting with the earliest (the bottom of the list), and find the first book on the list that you still own, and haven't read. Read it, then look for the next oldest, and so on.
Note: the swap you received is the second book listed in the Completed Swap. The first book listed is the one you sent.
I have today finished (Un)arranged Marriage by Bali Rai.
My next oldest swap will be: Emma's War by Deborah Scroggins.

Ooh, thanks for this, I'd rather forgotten this challenge but partly because I stalled at a book I didn't really fancy anymore. I think I'll just give up on that one and move to the next which is Border Crossing - Pat Barker swapped in Sept 2009. I usually enjoy her books so I don't know why this has languished on the pile so long - now I've just got to find it. (Maybe it's hiding and that's why it's been forgotten!)

Must admit I don't fancy Emma's War too much now... but I've put it on my "read soon" shelf and if it's still languishing there in a month or two, I'll take it to the charity shop and move on!
I only joined at the beginning of 2011, so I've made it up to February 2012.

Blimey I thought I'd have a quick look at this and it turns out I have a swap from August 2008 that I haven't read, but as I have done over 700 swaps I should have known I would not have read them all! Its The Conspiracy Club - Jonathan Kellerman
Dedicated young psychologist Dr. Jeremy Carrier is unschooled in the ways of violent crime and incalculable evil - until his life is irreversibly touched by both. When his romance with nurse Jocelyn Banks is cut short by her kidnapping and brutal murder, he is left emotionally devastated and being warily eyed by police seeking a prime suspect in the unsolved killing. To escape the pain, he buries himself in his work. But when more women turn up murdered in the same gruesome fashion as Jocelyn, the suspicion surrounding Jeremy intensifies and the only way for him to prove his innocence is to follow the trail of a cunning psychopath.
Spurring on Jeremy's investigation is Dr. Arthur Chess, an enigmatic pathologist who harbours a keen fascination with the darker deeds committed by the living. Arthur draws Jeremy into the confidence of a cryptic society devoted to matters unknown and unspoken. But when Arthur suddenly slips away, Jeremy is left to contend with an onslaught of anonymous clues - and the growing realization that a harrowing game of cat and mouse has been set in motion.

I only joined at the beginning of 2011, so I've made it up to February 2012. Finished Emma's War! It fitted another challenge too, which helped. I found it heavy but interesting. My next oldest swap is called Sisterland. Small problem: I have two TBR books called Sisterland and there's nothing in Completed Swaps to tell me which one this was. I will pick whichever I fancy most.

I have about a dozen that are from 2008/9, so rather than list them separately, I have just given each of them an asterisk on my TBR. I will aim to read or get rid of those in the next 6 months, and then I can move on to 2010 and that only leaves me 6 years to deal with! Save

I still have 9 from 2009 around the place, and I cannot read them before the new year. But I did read 30+ for my Mrs Mac's Challenge, so I think I can say I did well.

That's pretty good, Mrs Mac! *bowing down*
I just get out the next swap listed on the site and put it on my current challenge shelf and see what happens. Sometimes it takes a while to get to them...
