I am currently reading Before the Fact by Francis Iles (which I think the lovely pennyt sent me). On reading the cover blurb I discovered that this book was the inspiration behind the film Suspicion
This set me thinking as I knew I had already read: The Birds, Rebecca and Jamaica Inn (all Daphne du Maurier); Marnie by Winston Graham; Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith and The 39 Steps by John Buchan.
So I decided to have a look on the net and on Goodreads found a complete list of novels and plays which became Hitchcock films and found that I had also read Juno and the Paycock by Sean O'Casey for A Level Eng Lit but had no idea there was a film of it.
I now to plan to track down and read more of them.
