So one down. Started Kill For Me by Karen Rose earlier and straight away I thought 'this sounds familiar' so skipped to the end and also remembered one of the many twists in the story so I think I will ditch this one as I don't want to read the better part of a nearly 600 page book only to realise I've read it before. I did read quite a few of hers a few years back before I started logging them on Goodreads and can't remember where I got to, weird thing is this looks like an unread copy from a charity shop, so maybe I bought another one later? I hope I am not the only one who does this lol?? LOL !! I am always buying duplicates from the Charity Shop ... Even with my little book, where I am supposed to A) Write in new book purchases & B) Look at when I am actually in the shop to double check ... Sadly, not a fail safe system ..
Not done it so far this year, but we are only 3 weeks in ..

I wish I could remember all the books I read when I was young/er Sounds nostalgic with a side order of melancholy. I've still got loads of Ladybird books which I cannot bear to part with, otherwise I sold most of my children's books on eBay. My brother may still have his Mr Men collection somewhere ..

I wish I could remember all the books I read when I was young/er Me too. I'm trying to encourage my teenage daughter to keep a list of what she reads to look back on when she's older.

Since I started Goodreads when I was 18ish I think I've remembered a lot of books I read as a teen but definitely not all of them!

Realised I had not kept up with this one!
In January I read all 500 plus pages of The Art of Fielding - Chad Harbach. Great read. In February I read The Poisonwood Bible - Barbara Kinsolver. Another great read. Also in February The Pirate's Daughter - Margaret Cezair-Thompson. Too long by about 100 pages, but I enjoyed. In April it was not only a BFG but a hardback too - Song of Shadows - John Connelly - a thriller. Enjoyed.

Well. It looks as though I did more than the 2 I predicted in January! On this thread I mention four from the beginning of the year, but in fact I probably did around 10 - no titles here as they will have been listed elsewhere, but a good score from me.
Shall we do it again next year??
