I've picked up four from charity shops this week:
Ballet Shoes by Noel Streatfeild (from our shop, a 1960s paperback, too scruffy to sell, but I couldn't resist it for a reread) The Hog's Back Mystery by Freeman Wills Croft The Devastating Boys by Elizabeth Taylor (short stories) The Betrothed by Alessandro Manzoni (1001 list)

On loan from a friend, The Candy House by Jennifer Egan. She disliked it but I'm quite tempted.

To cheer me up for not being able to go to the Bristol meet, I bought Truckers by Terry Pratchett from a charity shop. Better than drowning my sorrows with wine, and cheaper!
